So we have an official date. We met with Dr. Fielder. He is so nice! I have to switch doctors because Dr. Jeffers is retiring at the end of the month. Dr. Fielder is in the same clinic. If I wasn't having a C-section he might have ended up delivering anyway. I went to the doctor last Wednesday. I brought Aaron and Kaitlyn so they could meet him, too. We all loved him! Arryn you are right, he does remind me of Chet! He said we could schedule the C-section right then. We looked at the calendar and decided on Tuesday February 5th. I will go in for a pre-op Monday and then have little Camden. Dr. Fielder said he may decide to come early! So be prepared! He also said everything looked good and right on track. His heartbeat was 140! Kaitlyn said it sounded like the Polar Express train. She listens to that CD at night.
We have been pretty busy getting ready for Christmas. Last minute shopping, baking cookies, wrapping gifts. I haven't had much time to sit with my feet up. Aaron has been going into work at 3AM......I don't know how he does it. Yesterday was his day off in a long time and we thought we would just sit around the house, think again......we had some last minute shopping to do. Kaitlyn is so excited for Christmas. This will be a special year, her last year as an only child!!!!!!
Yesterday we went up to Vandergiff Honda, Radio Disney was there. She won the grandprize! A trip to Fossil Rim for a family of four. We plan to go Saturday, it expires December 31. She was so excited that she won, we never win anything!
Today we are having Christmas in Granbury with my Dad's family. Then my family is coming over to our house to celebrate Christmas. We then plan to go to Aaron's sister, Ashley's house for Christmas. BUSY BUSY BUSY!!!!! Maybe after Christmas I can put my feet up!!!!!!
I will post some new pictures next time. Have a Merry Christmas!!!!!!!
My belly is growing bigger everyday! Here I am at 30 weeks.
I haven't heard from the doctor about my glucose test. I am assuming no news is good news!!!! We went to Ella Bella and bought Camden's coming home outfit! It is so precious. We also got a sweet blue soft blanket that has embroidered at the top, "I prayed for this child." If you haven't been to Ella Bella, GO!!!!!!
We finally got the last piece to Camden's room. Aaron's Dad, GranBob, bought us the dresser for his room. It is beautiful! We have all the pieces. We just have little things to do to his room like hang some things on the wall. Aaron is going to make a shelf to hang above the changing table. I can't wait to wash all his clothes and put things away.
Only 4 more days until Christmas vacation. I can't wait.....the kids are BONKERS!!!!! I also got all my maternity lesson plans and boxes full of papers my sub will need finished. WHEW!!!!! I thought I would never be done with it. Now I can relax and enjoy the holiday and not have to think about that. Kaitlyn is so excited about Christmas. She wants a scooter from Santa.
I have been getting more and more tired lately and my feet are killing me by the end of the day. Good thing Aaron doesn't mind rubbing them. I can't wait to be able to put my feet up for 2 weeks and not have to stand on them all day!
Well, it's been awhile since I posted.....Here is what has been going on in the Sossamon house. I went the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to have my 1 hour glucose test, to check for diabetes.....got the results a week later. They like your score to be 140 or below, mine is 141!!!!!! Can you believe that? So now I go back Thursday to have a 3 hour glucose test. Pray for that 1 point to go away!
We had Thanksgiving at our house...Aaron and Kaitlyn buttered up the turkey. My parents and brother Justin came over. Aaron's family came over, too. We had a nice time with lots of leftovers. And it snowed!!!! How crazy is that? We finally cleaned out the fridge today!
Butter me up!
Cuddling on the couch
Aaron recently bought a guitar and is teaching himself how to play.....Camden likes the music!
Kaitlyn has been wanting to put up the Christmas decorations all week. Aaron got them down and the boxes kept sitting in the living room. Finally, Friday night we put up the decorations. We are really in the Christmas spirit, now. We bought a new Nutcracker to add to Kaitlyn's collection and even got Molly a nutcracker chew toy!
All ready for Christmas!
We found this adorable ornament at Hobby Lobby and just had to have it!!!!!
Molly loves her Mama and her new toy
Kaitlyn had an All City Choir concert today and did AWESOME! They sound so good! Camden loved listening to his sister, he kept moving all around during the concert. I tried to put a video of Kaitlyn's choir, but it wouldn't let me upload. I will try later.
We hope everyone is ready for the holidays! They will be here soon enough! I hope to get my shopping done on Thursday.....
This past Saturday we were given a shower by my sister in law Emily, soon to be sister in law Michelle, good friend Adriane, and help from Nanny! :) They did an outstanding job making it so special. It was a frog theme, which was so sweet. Welcoming "Our Little Prince" We were so blessed with gifts. Enjoy the pictures.....
Welcome "Our Little Prince, Camden"
Here is a basket of goodies. Everyone got a minute to see what was in the basket and then they took it away. About 15 minutes later, they had to write down everything they remembered. We got to keep everything inside. :)
Kaitlyn with some buddies at the shower
Kaitlyn is the BEST big sister. She gave Camden a onesie that says "Heaven Sent" and on the back are wings. She made me cry. He is truly sent from Heaven!!!!!!
Future Texas Ranger burp cloth! Thanks Nita, we LOVE them!!!
The changing table is full now!
The glider looks so good next to the crib. Thanks Grammy!
Look at all the cute clothes. We can't wait to dress him!
Kaitlyn and the stroller. Thanks Nanny!!!
After the shower, Kaitlyn came home and packed the new diaper bag with her baby's things and put her doll in the stroller. She pushed it all around the house. She can't wait for Camden to get here and take him for walks in the stroller.
So Many gifts for this precious baby! He is so loved! Thank you so much! You don't know how much it means to us. We are so grateful for the people in our lives. We can't wait to share Camden with you.
Here are some of the clips from the sonogram... He was moving so much....
I have recently "popped" Here is a picture of me at 27 weeks. Camden loves my right side! My belly is hard and stretching! I love that cocoa butter lotion. It is such an amazing thing to know that the videos above are what is going on inside my belly. I wish that everyone could experience that feeling at least once in their lifetime.
Amazing! That is the word that I said during this sonogram. 10 years ago they didn't have this with Kaitlyn. He is such a handsome little boy. At first, the cord was in the way of his mouth, but Laura shook my belly and he soon moved it away. He was so active and constantly moving around. He even smiled at us! Who do you think he looks like? We think he looks like his Daddy! What a blessing we already have with this baby! Laura, the sonographer, said he was a showoff. He wanted to make sure and give us a good show, and that he did! Daddy
Well, Kaitlyn has been feeling better! But, I woke up Thursday feeling yucky. I kept thinking it was the baby and I would be fine. I was almost ready to walk out the door for school and couldn't make it. I had the throw ups and yucky stomach. My team was wonderful! They pulled together my lesson plans for the rest of the week! I pretty much stayed in bed Thursday and almost all day Friday. I started feeling better and just started to get my appetite back today, Saturday. I have been eating so much cinnamon toast, Aaron is so good at making it now! We went to CiCi's Pizza tonight for dinner and they had to wait on me to finish eating! I just couldn't stop!
Before I ate.....you should've see my tummy after I ate!!!!!
We went to my friend's , Jennifer from elementary school, shower today. She is due January 3. It is neat that we are having babies at the same time. She got some great stuff, but all PINK. It was so good to see her again.
Anybody ready for Christmas? Have you noticed some radio stations are already playing Christmas music???? What about Thanksgiving? I am not ready, even though it would mean it would be one month closer to meeting Camden.....
Look for new pictures of our sweet baby Monday. I can't wait to see what he looks like!
I went to the doctor today for my 26 week appointment. Everything is right where it needs to be. I have gained 4 pounds.....14 total! Blood pressure was good. His heartbeat was in the 140s. Monday November 12 we go for our 3D sonogram. I can't wait to see him and what he looks like. Be watching for pictures. I go back to the doctor November 21 for the glucose test. I have to drink a certain drink they give me and have a timer for 1 hour. Once the timer goes off they will take my blood. They are checking for diabetes. The is all very routine and nothing to worry about.
Another note, Kaitlyn has walking pneumonia :( She ran fever Sunday, stayed home from school Monday. She went to school Tuesday and I had to pick her up and took her to the doctor. Good thing we got in! She has been feeling fine except for a really bad cough. I stayed home from school today with her. It was a nice day to spend together! Nanny is staying home with her Thursday. She can return to school Friday. She has been so worried about missing school! I had been feeling like I was getting what she had....I called the doctor and they said I could take Robitussin. It has helped! The doctor said not to worry unless I run fever or cough up colored stuff! :( YUCK! Hopefully we will get back to being healthy!!!!! Sorry there are no pictures......watch for some Monday!!!!!!
On Sunday, Kaitlyn and Daddy carved their pumpkin. They wanted it to be scary. I don't know why, but I told Kaitlyn next year it has to be fun. She said she would do a baby pumpkin. The pumpkin turned out cute and we got several compliments.
He's a fan that caught the ball in the wrong place, but he still has his Pepsi!
Last night Kaitlyn and Daddy went trick or treating while I stayed home and passed out candy. Kaitlyn was a Go Go Girl and Daddy was the Groovy Dad. Aaron is such a big kid! He loves dressing up. They met some of Kaitlyn's friends at Wood and then walked around together. Kaitlyn had so much fun! The only thing was Kaitlyn went up to a house and the "old lady" said "Haven't you already been here?" Of course there were other Go Go Girls out there! Kaitlyn said she shook her hand at her and said, "No seconds for you!" How mean is that to do to a kid? She had fun anyway!!!!
Kaitlyn and her friends
My kids at school kept asking me what I was going to dress up like.....I was a pregnant lady, of course! Camden was a Cowboy!
Don't you love my kids costumes?
Mom, your belly is getting bigger!
We hope everyone had a great Halloween. Can you believe it's November???? It just means it is closer to meeting our precious baby boy!
I am Mom to Kaitlyn, Camden and Landry. I love being a Mom. It is the most important job in the world, and I get to be a Mommy to 3 very special kiddos. I love teaching 1st grade and spending time with my family. Our favorite places to go are the Ranger games, movies, and Target.
