We have been counting down the days and they are finally arriving. We went to our last doctor's visit today. I can't believe it! Dr. Fielder said everything looks right on schedule. I am still only 1 cm. dilated. I asked him to run through that day with me so I would know what to expect. We are scheduled for a 9:30 C-section. He said they might move it up to the 7:30 time slot. He said depending on if that patient delivered already. He said they would call us or just let us know that morning. We will arrive at 7:30 at the hospital and we will get our "bands" and my IV started and then "hang out" Dr. Fielder said. Then around 9:15 I will go back to the OR and get my spinal and then Dr. Fielder and Aaron will come in and start the surgery. Aaron will get to hold Camden first and then they will move me onto my bed and place him next to me and wheel me to recovery. I will recover for about 2 hours and friends and family get to come in and visit. He said if everything goes accordingly then we will probably leave Friday. We are hoping and praying for a healthy delivery. On the way home from the doctor, I told Aaron that I don't think it has really hit me yet. I know we are having a baby, but it just seems like a dream. I told him that it will probably hit when I start to feel the pain. This time next week our little boy will be in our arms. I can't believe it.
After the doctor I had to take Kaitlyn to the dentist to get 2 teeth pulled. She had some baby teeth that never fell out that were causing some crowding. So we wanted to get that over and done with before her brother gets here. She was very scared. She took her MP3 player and listened to that. She said the shots hurt worse than the teeth being pulled. Aaron and I did hear her say "Owwww...." Probably from the tugging, we hope! She came home and just vegged out on her bed. She got a chocolate milkshake which made her mouth feel better.
WOW! Look at those teeth!
Last week Kaitlyn's choir had the opportunity to sing at The Meyerson Symphony Hall in Dallas. It was amazing! Such a big stage for a little kid. The All City Elementary, Junior High, and High School choirs were there. At the end they all sang a song together. When Kaitlyn's choir sang "Silence of the Song" I started boo hooing. I realized at that moment the next time we came to her concert, she would have a baby brother. Emotions flooding!!!!!!
Kaitlyn's choir getting ready to perform.
All 3 choirs singing. Kaitlyn's choir is in the top.
This weekend we are going to stay busy! We want it to go fast! Last minute things. We thought this would be a long week, but it is already Thursday! Friday we are going to Build a bear to spend some Bear Bucks. Kaitlyn wants to redo her room to a more mature room, so for her birthday in March, we bought her a new comforter set. Daddy and Kaitlyn are going to be busy painting the walls, key lime green, Saturday. Sunday, Mom and Kaitlyn get to set up all the fun stuff! I can't wait to see the outcome. It will look so AWESOME!!!! Pictures to come!
I hope My Molly Girl does okay with the new addition. She is such a sweet dog. The other night Camden had the hiccups and Molly laid her head on my stomach. I wonder if she knows what is going on???? Any advice on dogs and new babies???

My team at school gave us a shower today. The theme was "Team Sossamon." They did such a cute job decorating. They had given each team a onesie to decorate. They all turned out so cute! I can't wait to dress Camden in each one of them and take a picture. I am so lucky to work with such a great group of ladies. They are AWESOME! Thank you Ruth, Arryn, Meredith, Susan, and Gloria for sharing this journey with us. We are truly blessed.

Today there are only 20 days left until Camden arrives. I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday we were praying to have a baby. I am mixed with emotions. Scared, excited, ready! I took today off from school. I slept on the couch for a good part of the morning. I needed that! I had been washing his clothes, towels, blankets, etc. the night before and this morning. I organized it all in his room. I guess I am nesting! I also packed his bag for the hospital. I feel ready! It is getting harder to get comfortable. I can't sit or lay in a position for a long time or I get sore. Sleeping is a whole other story. I feel like I have bruises on my hips and legs. I can't wait to be able to sleep on my stomach! I keep asking Aaron to rub this or rub that. He doesn't complain, but I know he is ready to stop. Aaron put his time in to be off for work. 2 weeks!!!! I am so thankful that he will be home with me. I think he is getting excited but scared too. The other night we were looking at some of his clothes, and Aaron laid a onesie on the floor and said, "Amy he is going to be so small."
Today I had a doctor's visit. Dr. Fielder was sick so I had to reschedule with another doctor. We had a sonogram first to check his size and weight. It was neat to be able to look at him again, but I am not sure what we were looking at. He is so squished in there! She measured him and he weighs 5 lbs 10 oz and is 18 1/2 in long as of today. She said he will gain about 1/2 oz every week. She thinks he will be around 6 1/2 lbs to 7 lbs by the delivery date. We then went to visit with the doctor and he said everything looks great, we are right on schedule.
I can't believe in 20 days or less we will be holding our precious little baby boy.
I am Mom to Kaitlyn, Camden and Landry. I love being a Mom. It is the most important job in the world, and I get to be a Mommy to 3 very special kiddos. I love teaching 1st grade and spending time with my family. Our favorite places to go are the Ranger games, movies, and Target.
