My baby boy is just like his Momma and Sister. He likes to kick the covers off when he is sleeping. We cover him up and right away he gets his hands out. The other day I checked on him and he had kicked out of his covers! He doesn't like to be covered up, he gets HOT!!!! He is just too sweet! I can't believe that tomorrow he will be 3 weeks old. Where has the time gone?
By the way, I went to the doctor today and had my blood pressure checked, it is still high!!!! He put me on a beta blocker blood pressure medicine and I go back in another week. I hope this helps it! I went to the grocery today and looked for low salt or no salt foods to eat, IMPOSSIBLE! Everything has salt! I did get some good stuff to eat, don't worry! The best thing for me is to be resting, which I am, and eating! It's hard to eat when someone else wants to eat! Sometimes, I just snack all day! I need to sit down and actually eat something good for lunch! So if you decide to call me and I don't answer, chances are I am sleeping!!!!!!
It was so nice this past weekend, that we decided to put on our Ranger jerseys and go to the ballpark for some family photos. So we dressed Camden in his build a bear's jersey, yes he fits in it! He looked so cute. We got some really great pictures except they have torn up the spot we wanted to sit. The Home Plate entrance was really neat! It had steps and a big Ranger emblem on the sidewalk, but now it is gone due to road construction. So we made good with what we had! Camden enjoyed strolling in his stroller. Kaitlyn loved pushing him. I loved getting out of the house! Enjoy our pictures! We will have many more as we already have plans for a game!
Camden is 2 weeks old today. I can't believe that 2 weeks ago today I already had him. It seems like so long ago, he has fit into our lives so perfectly! We went to the doctor today for his first well child check. Dr. Fikkert said he was "perfect." We had to keep him, he was not defective. We already knew he was perfect! He now weighs 6 pounds 11 oz. and is 20 1/2 inches long. She wasn't concerned that he hasn't met his birth weight as long as he is eating, pooping, and peeing. We go back in 2 weeks and have our 2nd round of the Hep B shot :( We really like Dr. Fikkert. She was so good with Camden. We have been spending time with Camden as a family. Kaitlyn rushes in after school and wants to hold him right away! She misses him when she is gone. Aaron went back to work Sunday and rushes in to see him when he gets home. I love my time with him at home. I am cherishing every minute. Today I tried to lay him down so I could get some pictures in frames and he cried, so I picked him up and just held him. The frames will still be there. I am doing great, physically. I have lost almost all my swelling! I had to go to the doctor Monday for a blood pressure check, it has been high! And I lost 10 pounds in 1 week!!!! I go back next Monday for another blood pressure check. It is still a little high, but it is getting back to normal. Dr. Fielder said with my swelling going away, it should get back to normal. My incision hurts a little on the sides when I get up and do stuff. It is healing great. I am so thankful for the family that I have. I have been blessed with an Awesome husband and 2 great kids! WOW! 2 kids!!!!
Heaven sent an Angel
Dr. Fikkert said we should do tummy time to help him with his neck muscles! At first it was hard.
Then he got the hang of it!!!
Molly is being great with Camden. She gets closer and closer everyday. This morning when I was feeding him, she sat right next to me. Last night Kaitlyn laid down with us and Molly got right up on the pillow. She is like our other child!
Molly is ready to eat! This is the boppy pillow I use to nurse Camden.
Well it's been awhile since I posted. Aaron posted the last post for me. We got home Thursday and have been loving every minute with Camden, even the late late nights! He is such a sweet baby. He hardly cries, unless he is wet, dirty, or hungry. He has been sleeping and eating pretty well. He wakes up almost every 2 hours to eat. We try to hold off as long as possible. He loves to look around and follow our voices. He is such a pretty baby! He doesn't like his baths right now. We think once he can be immersed in the water and be all warm he will love them. He does love his foot massage, just like his mother. We went to the doctor Friday and had a weight check. He weighed 6 lbs 8 1/2 oz. We go back to the baby doctor in 2 weeks. I go to the doctor Monday afternoon to have my staples removed. They are already itching! I have been feeling so good. I think the 2nd time around is so much easier. My legs are swollen, which Dr. Fielder said would go away in a week. My mom has been such a big help to me. She comes by to see Camden of course, but she has been bringing dinner, doing laundry, etc. I appreciate her so much. She doesn't even know how much!!!!!! Kaitlyn loves her little brother. She hasn't wanted to leave, afraid she will miss something he does. She pulled his bassinet into her room today and just watched him sleep and said I could take a nap if I wanted to. I have such a great helper! Aaron is head over heels in love with him. He likes to talk to him and tell him things. I am pretty sure i heard him singing to him the other day. I LOVE him so much, which I knew I would. I couldn't even imagine it would be like this. I have the prefect little family which I am truly blessed. I still don't know why God had us wait 2 years for our bundle, but he is well worth the wait. We are working on a slide show of pictures, since there are so many, to post on the blog. I just need to find the time to sit and do it. I want to spend all my waking time with my family. Enjoy some of my favorite pictures.
Kaitlyn and Nanny had this sign waiting for us when we got home.
Camden was born at 10:23 am on February 5, 2008. He weighed 7 lbs exactly and measured 18 1/2 inches long. I did such a great job recovering that we got to come home a day early. We went home today at 4:00 pm. Thank you so much for all of your support. Enjoy some pics of our new baby boy, Camden Layne. Hello.
Look at him...... What? Daddy loves me.
Big Sister! Our family has grown.
Finally made it home. My car carrier is huge. My sister loves me.
I am Mom to Kaitlyn, Camden and Landry. I love being a Mom. It is the most important job in the world, and I get to be a Mommy to 3 very special kiddos. I love teaching 1st grade and spending time with my family. Our favorite places to go are the Ranger games, movies, and Target.
