Enjoying the Warm Weather in February

The weather was in the 80s today! I took Camden outside to crawl around in the grass. The last time we tried, he cried. Today he discovered the leaves and didn't want to go back inside. He really enjoys being outside, he always has. I can't wait for Spring when the grass is green and flowers are blooming. I can see many days outside!!!! :)

1 year Dr. visit

Camden went the doctor today for his 1 year well baby check up. It started out great. Dr. Fikkert heard some wheezing in his chest from the RSV. He had been wheezing, just not when we went the doctor last Monday so we didn't do anything with it. She wanted him to have a breathing treatment in the office to clear it up. Then things went down hill from there......

The breathing treatment was horrible!!!! Camden does NOT like things in his face. I had to hold him in my lap and hold his hands down and Aaron had to hold the mask on his face for 10 minutes. That was the longest 10 minutes!!!!! Camden cried the whole entire time! He turned red and splotchy from the medicine, which is normal, and was sweaty. We were all sweating! Dr. Fikkert came back in and said that did the trick. She sent us home with an inhaler to give him 4 times a day. The good thing is he gets 2 puffs and it only takes about 1 minute!!!

He also has a double ear infection. Poor baby! No wonder he hasn't been sleeping. He has the good "pink stuff" medicine to take 2 times a day.

And to top that all off....he got 2 shots and had blood taken from his foot to check for anemia and lead. He got his 5th tooth ! On the top....poor baby really hasn't been feeling himself lately! Hopefully we will get this medicine in his system and he will start to feel better soon.
It was a rough day! I am just glad it is over and he is sleeping peacefully!!!!
His stats:
weight: 20lbs 5 1/2 oz
Height: 30 in.

We are trying to give the bottle up. He only gets a bottle 3 times a day. He can drink from a cup no problem, but when he has milk in it, he throws it down. Any suggestions? We are going to start giving him his last milk at dinner time and not after his bath. The good thing is he doesn't depend on it to go to sleep and he really doesn't want much to do with it during the day. If he is thirsty, he will drink it.

Please keep Camden in your prayers. And the rest of his family, too!
It was so tough today at the doctor.....where was my Dad? He was the one when Kaitlyn was little bitty that went in with her when she had to be held down or needed stitches......

Feeling a little better playing with Daddy and sister

Hey Mom! Look at my new tooth

My sister was funny tonight! She kept spinning in circles and I giggled so hard! Thanks Kaitlyn for making me feel better!

Even though I don't feel good, I am still the cutest boy in the world!

Happy 1st Birthday Camden

It's my BIRTHDAY!

I can't believe Camden is already 1 year old. I wish time would freeze! Today was a great day. I took the day off from work to hang out and be a Mommy full time! It was heaven. We both had so much fun. Camden stood up a lot today on his own! We have been trying to make him stand and today he just stood; and a long time! We gave him a swing for the tree and Kaitlyn gave him a bear that teaches you ear, foot, etc. I was nervous about the swing because he did NOT like his baby swing. He loved it! I loves being outside, so I think that had a lot to do with it. We didn't stay outside very long because he is sick. Nanny and Grammy came by to eat cupcakes. Camden was so funny. He took the cupcake and took the icing off! He wasn't sure what to think and then realized he could eat it. He sure did love sucking on those fingers.

I kept looking at him all day thinking back to a year ago. I remember the moment they pulled him out. I remember how small he was and how he smelled. I remember how happy we were and even more now.

Camden has learned so much this year! He amazes me everyday, like standing alone today. He has gone from being so dependent on me to wanting to go and explore everything. He is still Mama's boy! I can't wait to see what this year will bring.

Happy Birthday Buddy!!!!!!
I love you!

I love my lion walker and my spoon! Camden LOVES spoons. He would not let go of this spoon today. He even took a nap with it. He holds on to it like a security blanket!

Standing on his own! Such a little boy.

Daddy gave me chocolate pudding! LOVED it!

Loving my new swing

This is pretty good!

In my BIRTHDAY suit

I can't believe how big he has gotten!
Such a sweet boy!!!

Poor Sick Boy

We took Camden to the doctor today. He has had a runny nose for the last week and it cleared up for a couple of days. It came back with a cough. He started wheezing a little this morning. So we decided to take him and I am glad we did. He has RSV. It is very common in babies and young children. Dr. Fikkert thinks we are at the worst of it. His lungs sound good and no ear infections. We are running the humidifier and using babies vapor rub. Hopefully he will start to feel better before his big day! He has been extra cuddly, which we don't mind at all. Pray for his RSV to clear up quickly. And pray for a peaceful sleep.
