Landry is 1 month old today. Time is flying by! We started our day with a doctor's visit. Landry now weighs 11 lbs 11 oz. He has gained 2 lbs in 2 weeks. I guess I am feeding him pretty good. i looked in Camden's baby book and he wasn't this big until he was 4 months old. WOW! We have a chunky monkey on our hands. But as Nanny says, just more to love :) And we do love him lots. Camden loves to give kisses every chance he can. Landry also got a shot. I swear the needle was super long and it took forever :( He cried. I just love his meaty little legs.
Landry is 4 weeks old today. The time is flying by. He is becoming such a little chunk. He LOVES to eat :) We go to the doctor on Friday. I bet he is at least 10 lbs. He is becoming more alert and awake during the day. He likes to wake up around 4:45 and look around until about 6:45. Which is okay! (For now) I get to take naps while Camden goes to Oma's! We are also starting to get half smiles. Any day he is going to smile from ear to ear at me! Our day goes something like this: wake up and eat. Take a little nap in the car taking Kaitlyn and Camden to school and the sitter. Come home sleep a little more, wake up to eat, nap. Sometimes Mommy ventures out of the house....today we went to Kohl's. Eat, sleep, stay awake for a little bit. Go outside with brother! He loves to be outside. Take a long nap, eat, bath, bed! And do it all over again. He is the BEST baby!!!!
I can't believe my baby is already 3 weeks old. We are doing great! He is starting to sleep better at night. I think last night was the best sleep I have gotten in a long time. He is starting to wait a little longer between feedings. We have been doing tummy time and he has got a strong head/neck. He tries to lift it and moves it from side to side. He loves his bath, just not getting out....too cold. He is also more alert during the day. He likes to look around. He is so serious. I am cherishing every moment. Lots of cuddles and rocking at the Sossamon house :)
Landry is 2 weeks old today. We had our 2 week check up with Dr. Fikkert. He weighs 9 1/2 lbs and is 21 3/4 in. long. He has grown. He also lost his circumcision ring on Sunday and his belly button cord today. He is officially ours! He has been a little congested since Saturday. Dr. Fikkert said that is perfectly normal in newborn babies. He is just perfect! We went to the hospital and had his PKU test done and it does not feel like 2 weeks ago we had him. It seems like longer, he just fits into our family so perfectly.
We have had a great weekend! We got Camden a new bike so he can ride around the neighborhood. Aaron and Camden have been walking his mower around the block and Mommy thought he might need a little bike to ride. Camden loves it!
Nanny called us Friday and said she had 11 baby ducks in her koi pond. So we loaded up the car and headed over to check them out. They were hiding in the bushes and didn't want to come out. Finally they made an appearnace. Camden loves "Nanny's phises" He fed them some bread and would point to the duckies.
Sunday morning Camden really got interested in his little brother. He wanted to hold him and not just for a minute. They have these really cute shirts. Camden's says, Landry's Big Brother and Landry's says, Camden's Little Brother. I was hoping for some good pictures. Got some! Still can't get all 3 of them yet. Camden isn't very fond of sister holding that baby! She still gets her cuddles!!! She is a big help! So thankful we have her :)
This was the first time Camden held his brother. I asked him if he wanted to hold his baby and he got right up on the bed. He wouldn't let go! I finally had to say "okay, baby hungry"! He LOVES his brother. Kaitlyn tried to hold Landry, and Camden wasn't happy about it at all. He wants his sister all to himself!
I am Mom to Kaitlyn, Camden and Landry. I love being a Mom. It is the most important job in the world, and I get to be a Mommy to 3 very special kiddos. I love teaching 1st grade and spending time with my family. Our favorite places to go are the Ranger games, movies, and Target.
