We have been enjoying the Christmas season so much in our house. The boys LOVE the tree. They like to constantly redecorate it with their own little toys:) I don't mind.....makes for memories! They also like to drive their mowers into! :( We went to the Gaylord at the beginning of the month and saw Santa.....the boys did NOT like him! Camden would not talk and was mad. Landry screamed and cried....and as always Kaitlyn smiled just beautifully. We walked around and saw all the fun reindeer and trains! The boys love trains!!! We have a Santa beard countdown going on....they love to glue cotton balls on Santa's beard. We just wrapped presents last night and they have been very good with them! Camden wants to open them NOW.....thats hard for a 3 year old to understand why we have to wait. The big wants this year in the Sossamon house are:

One more day of school and then we are off.....there will be lots of cookie baking and The Grinch movie watching(We watch that EVERY day) and just being home with my kids! I can't wait to see their faces Christmas morning. I think I get more excited than they do!

We went out to the land on Saturday to celebrate Nanny and Justin's birthdays. We had a lot of fun on the new four wheelers. Papa bought a pink one for the girls and a new red one!

A Beautiful Day Trip to the Zoo

We took a trip to the zoo Monday on Labor Day. It was beautiful weather. The boys had fun looking at the animals. We are so Thankful for sister Kaitlyn to walk around and help Camden "see" all the cool animals. Their favorite were the monkeys. There was a little monkey family with a baby and they were helping the baby swing and just play. At one time one of the monkeys came and knocked on the glass! It was a nice family trip to the zoo. And the boys slept so good that night!

Kaitlyn started High School this year! Seems like she was my cute little girl just yesterday. Now she is my gorgeous young lady! Who, by the way is taller than her mom. But doesn't take much for that? She was super excited about starting High School. The week before school started they had a Warrior Freshman Welcome. She had to run through spirit hands. So great to see the smile on her face and know that the next 4 years will be so much fun for her! She tried out for Show Choir and we were shocked to find out she didn't make it. But this is a learning experience and she is becoming a stronger and more prepared lady because of this. Hopefully next year she will go out there and kick some butt! She will be taking private voice lessons and getting involved in theater and choir this year. She will be BUSY!!!! She was scared about how big the school was, but said Saturday, its not that big just a square! I'm glad she found her way around....cause I still haven't! Getting up at 5:45 every morning is hard for her, but she gets to come home before 3:00 and sometimes I find her crashed out on the couch! Have a great Freshman year Kaitlyn! You will always be my baby girl no matter how old you get. And remember you are never moving out and going off to college....there is nothing wrong with TCC!!!!

Gaylord Staycation

We went to the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Paradise Springs waterpark Thursday July 28. We had a great time. We stopped at The Grapevine Mills Mall before check in and rode the little train they have around the mall. We also visited the Rainforest Cafe. However the wait for a table was an hour and we were ready to get to the waterpark. So we just looked at the alligator and everything else there is to see. We checked into our room about 3:30 and headed down to the Paradise Springs waterpark. It was so Hot! The water felt good. Ashley, Mike, and Madden met us there and we played in the water a little bit with them. Swimming makes you hungry, so it was time for food. We got dinner and enjoyed a picnic style dinner in their hotel room. After dinner we walked around the hotel and Aaron, Kaitlyn, and Camden went for a swim in the pool, didn't close till midnight. I took Landry up to the room to get in bed. The next morning we got up and ate some chicken minis, YUM! We checked out of the hotel and went down to the water park....we were able to use the park all day. We stayed until about 3:00 and then headed home with some fun and wonderful memories. We are already planning to come back soon!

Camden's Big Boy Bed

We went and bought Camden's BIG Boy bed last week. He was so excited!!!! He LOVED bed shopping. We got it at The Mattress Firm. The first night I slept with him from 1-3am and then he came into our bed about 6. He stays in his bed until about 4 and then we hear little feet running into our room. However, Saturday night he stayed in his bed all night! He has even taken some naps on it. It is very comfy! So thankful to have my own bed back. He had been sleeping in our bed since right before Landry was born.

We had a wonderful July 4th weekend. We spent Sunday the 3rd out at Witte's BBQ and Waterpark, (aka) The Land.....The next night we went to the Ranger game on the 4th for Fireworks! Camden could not wait!!!!!

What has been going on lately???

Having too much fun to sit down at the computer and blog. We have really been enjoying our summer. We have gotten into a pretty good routine. The boys sleep until about 9am and then we get up and eat breakfast and then go play in Camden's room. Camden loves to take his brother in there and play. They have really been interacting so much more lately and actually playing together. It is so sweet to watch. Kaitlyn sleeps in, in the middle of all the chaos, I don't know how she sleeps. Landry will take a nap from 1-4.....such a great sleeper. And he will even go down all by himself in his crib.....if he cries it is only when I leave the room and then he gets his thumb and blanket and is out like a light. I get my Camden time while Landry is napping. I try to get him to rest and watch a movie during that time...he is fighting naps, unless he is at Oma's or falls asleep in the car, he is not having it.

We went to the Library a couple of weeks ago....Kaitlyn is a BIG reader. She can finish a book in a couple of days. She is working on the Harry Potter Series right now along with a couple other fun books. Camden got his first library card. He was so excited. He calls it the "labree."

We have been trying to stay cool....which is not that easy! The boys love to go outside and the only time we can do that is when the sun is down :( Hoping for cooler weather, in the 90s???? Landry is not happy he cant go outside :(

We went to Six Flags the other day. Kaitlyn took her friend, Sarah, and we took Grammy. We had fun. It was hot, but we did not go till about 5 and left at 9. Landry even got to ride the trucks.

Landry's 1st Haircut

We finally got Landry's first haircut a couple of weeks ago. I haven't wanted to get rid of his curls....but it was time. He did a fabulous job! He cried for maybe 2 minutes and then let Beth cut away. He even let her use the clippers on the back. He looks so grown up like a little boy. But he will always be Mommy's baby.

We went and took Bluebonnet pictures tonight. If you live in Texas, it's a given that every Spring you watch for Bluebonnets to bloom. We found the BEST place. Tarrant County College South Campus off I-20! My kids were surrounded in them. They did so great! We got the BEST picture on the first try :) It was the fastest we have ever taken pictures.

One year ago today Landry Reese came into our lives weighing 8 lbs 14 oz. He was ready to start his life sooner than we expected! I still remember that day like yesterday. I went to school feeling good. We had just celebrated the weekend with one last date and haircuts, getting everything ready for Landry to come April 5th. Well, he had other plans. Around 10:00 I started getting bad back pains, didn't think anything about it. And long story short....Landry arrived at 1:44pm. What a year it has been! I think the more kids you have the faster it goes! Landry has gone from sleeping all the time as a newborn to walking as a one year old! How did that happen??? We go Friday for his 1 year appointment so I will have his stats then. A couple of weeks ago, we weighed him.....27lbs! I know! He is our chunky monkey!

We spent Saturday night at USMD Hospital. Camden was jumping off the ottoman in front of our bed into some pillows. Aaron did a good job on covering the dresser with pillows against it. He just jumped out a little too far and the pillow moved....he grabbed his head and blood was pouring out! I immediately took him to the bathroom and got the bleeding to stop with a towel. Aaron called our moms and no answer! Landry was fussy, wanted to go to bed and we were getting panicked! Finally, my mom called back and came right over. We got to USMD and had only 2 people in front of us. We got into the ER about 45 minutes later. They got his vitals and sent us to a room to get checked out by the Doctor. Dr. Cole came in and looked at it and said we will do stitches. The nurse came back in and wrapped his head with a bandage that held a numbing medicine, so hopefully we wouldn't have to have a shot to numb it. We hung out for 30 minutes while it went to work and Camden fell asleep! They came back in and wrapped him up like a burrito, Camden was still sleeping. Dr. Cole shined a light on his head and sprayed water/saline into the wound and Camden woke up a little. He was a BIG BRAVE boy. Just whimpered a little. He ended up with 5 stitches! On the way home we stopped by McDonald's for an ice cream cone...."machine down" off to the second one "machine down" Don't the people at McDonald's know our son just got 5 stitches? So off to Jack in the Box for their delicious milkshake! We are so PROUD of Camden. We all did very well. It is so hard to see your baby in pain. Wish I could have the stitches for him :(

Monster Jam

Last Saturday we took Camden to Monster Jam at Cowboys Stadium. It was a Mommy, Daddy, and Camden date! He had a blast! Camden loves big trucks! Thank you Papa for letting us borrow the earmuffs. It was VERY loud! The trucks came out and fireworks shot off. If you know Camden well, you know he LOVES fireworks and trucks. So you can imagine he was in heaven for a while! He still talks about the monster trucks to this day. He has been doing so good on the potty. Telling us when he needs to go. Sometimes he will even go sit on the potty all by himself without telling us and go. In fact, yesterday afternoon he went all by himself and pooped! his rewards are monster trucks! So off to Walmart we went.....this boy loves his trucks!

Landry is 11 Months

Whats going on with Landry?
*WALKING!!!! He took 3 steps last Thursday. He will take 1 or 2, but realizes crawling is much faster!
* scoots across the floor on one knee...Grammy calls it his surfer crawl
* drinks 6 oz of formula during the day and 8 oz in the morning when he wakes up
* LOVES to eat! As you can tell. He pretty much eats anything except not a fan of carrots.
* Eats puffs, crackers, bread, anything soft!
* Eats cereal and fruit in the morning
* Eats fruit and veggie for lunch
* Eats fruit and veggie for dinner
* Loves to drink water from his sippy cup
* Has 6 teeth! 4 on top and 2 on bottom.
* Loves to be outside and gets so excited when the door opens
* wears size 4 diapers
* Wears 12-18 months clothes
* sleeps GOOD! He goes to bed around 8-8:30 and sleeps until I wake him up on weekdays and about 8-8:30 on weekends. He takes 2 good naps. One at least 3 hours long! My sleeper :)
* Can put things back together. He likes to put the cars back on the track and the rings on the hoop
* Stands more and more!
* Loves his blanket and thumb
* Loves his Mommy. When I walk out of the room, he gets upset and looks for me!
* Loves books
* Always smiling and laughing
* Says Mama, Dada, Nana, and the rara sound.
Landry is such a sweet boy. It seems like yesterday I was wondering what kind of baby he would be....He is more than I could ever have imagined.

We have been out of school since Tuesday! I have enjoyed being home with the kids, but I am ready to get out of the house. We started Monday night out with driving out to the Cowboys Stadium to see all the Super Bowl stuff. It was a sight to see! Then we came home hoping for no school and had to wait for the call around 5:30am. It was nice to stay inside in the warmth! Aaron had to venture out and go to work. He and all 7 other people worked! He has such a great work ethic. He would show up no matter what! He said the roads were pretty bad. But he made it safe and sound everyday! Thankful for that :) We have had alot of eating, fort building, eating, watching movies, and more eating! Hope you have as much fun as we have! I wonder if we will make it to school Friday! Secretly, wishing we stay home again!

What Landry is up to:
*drinks 6-8 oz of formula in a bottle
*drinks water in a sippy cup very well
*eats cereal in the morning with fruit
*eats fruit and veggie at lunch
*eats fruit and veggie at dinner
*LOVES crackers, bread, pudding, pretty much anything thing we snack on. He wants!
*goes to bed around 8

*takes 2, sometimes 3 naps a day. And a good 2-3 hour nap

Landry is the happiest baby ever! We have had such fun with him lately.
The memories are so special. One that was made today....Camden said to Landry after he woke up from his nap "I love you Baby." My heart was and still is so full!

We went to Six Flags the weekend after Christmas. We had a great first experience with Camden. he loved everything! He even rode on the big boat that goes way up high! Kaitlyn took her Sarah and they went and rode the big rides while we did the little rides. Thank you Nanny and Grammy for coming and spending the day with us.

Landry is 9 months old today! WOW!!! is all I can say. Why is it when you get older, time slips away so fast?

What is Landry up to these days?
*weighs 24.7 lbs
*height 28 in.
*crawling
*pulling up on everything
*drinks 6oz bottle every 3-4 hours
*eats cereal in the morning and starting some table food
(This boy wants everything you are eating)
*plays peek a boo
*claps
*has 2 bottom teeth
*wears size 4 diapers
*wears size 12 months clothes
*good sleeper! Sleeps about 12 hours a night, with 2 long naps, they can last 3 hours!
*says Dada, we are working on Mama...he just looks at me and smiles :)
*he is just so happy! Even when he had croup this month, he was so happy!

We are so lucky to have you in our lives Landry! We love you!

He sucks on his thumb, but has started to LOVE this blanket! We have to have it when it's time to go night, night.

Christmas 2010

We had a VERY blessed Christmas spent with our wonderful family. We spent Christmas Eve with The Sossamon Family. Mike and Ashley opened their home to us and we had a great time. We ate yummy Mexican food, had a fun White Elephant Game, did a Ranger puzzle, and just had fun being together watching the kids play and Karaoke singing. Thank you Grammy for making our Christmas special. We then came home and got baths and opened one gift, Camden didn't understand so he opened two. Then we go the cookies ready for Santa and attempted bed. It was a late night!

I woke everyone up Christmas morning around 8. And our tradition is, the kids can't go in the living room until Mom and Dad are ready. We got the cameras ready and said, "Go!" Kaitlyn got an I POD touch from Santa, Camden got a tractor, and Landry got a tool bench. We were very blessed. We spent the morning playing and having fun. Then at noon the Witte's came over to our house. We started the day off with one of my Dad's famous games. This year it was Show "ME" the money. We all had a lot of fun, laughter and even some happy tears. Papa was very generous to us all and we LOVE him very much! Thank you Nanny and Papa for a wonderful time. Can't wait until next year to have Christmas at your new house.

We had a VERY Merry Christmas. It is so much fun to watch Christmas through the eyes of your children.

So we went to see Santa this year!!!!!!

And NO tears!!!!
I couldn't believe it! We had told Camden if he sat on Santa's lap he would bring him toys. He sat down and just looked at Santa. Santa was really nice and just talked to him. At one point I thought we were going to see tears. So I sat Landry down on Santa's other knee and Kaitlyn sat beside him. We didn't get any smiles except from Kaitlyn. But at least we did NOT have tears. Landry just looked up at Santa and then back over at me. After we saw Santa we went up and rode the carousel.....that made Camden's trip to see Santa all worth it!

I still can't believe it has been 8 months. We have been so lucky to have Landry! He is the BEST baby! What has been going on the last month....

* Still a good sleeper, 2 -3 hour naps 2x a day, bedtime around 8
* drinks 6 oz of formula
* eats fruit and vegetable baby food
* moved up to size 4 diapers (same as big brother)
* wears size 12 months clothes
* says Dada...babbles ga and all baby sounds
* blows bubbles
* sucks thumb
* loves to laugh
* plays pat a cake, peek a boo
AND BIGGEST ONE OF ALL....
* CRAWLING!!!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was full of family, turkey, and pie! Terry, Jayme, Ashley and Mike and Madden came over. And Jude and Judy, Laura and Fred, and Emily and John came by for dessert. It was a nice day. Jayme brought her new Wii games over and Kaitlyn fell in love with the Michael Jackson Experience. I have to admit it is fun and such a workout! It was so much fun watching Aaron dance!

So thankful for these sweet kids of mine!

A Weekend in The Woodlands

Aaron, Kaitlyn, and I went to The Woodlands this past weekend. We went to see the Lady Antebellum concert. It was REALLY good. Kaitlyn had a blast. She couldn't believe that Charles actually drank someone's drink from the audience. She just kept smiling and singing and dancing. We went down Saturday morning and came home Sunday. We made a stop at The Texas Prison Museum in Huntsville on the way home. It was very interesting. Now we can say we have done time at The Texas Prison Museum. It was nice to do something with just Kaitlyn! But Mama also missed her boys! It was nice to get home to their cuddles. I will never forget last night when Camden and Landry both cuddled up on my chest and went to sleep. Those are the moments I will never let go of.

We are already planning our next concert trip!

7 Months Olds

Landry is now 7 months old! Only 5 more months until he will be 1 year old! He is now on full formula. He did great transitioning from breast milk to formula. We mixed it for about a week and then just went right into it. I miss having that special time with him, but I still get my cuddles in. Still no teeth...but I just know one is about to pop through. I can see a little of it on
the bottom. Landry is about to take off crawling any day now. He gets up on his knees and rocks. He wants to move so bad. He does get around in circles or anyway he can. He smiles and laughs alot. He loves to take a bath, especially with Camden. He just laughs and giggles at him when they are in the bath. He sleeps REALLY good! We are so lucky. He goes to bed anywhere from 7:30-8:30 depending on his last cat nap for the evening. He takes good 2 1/2 -3 hour naps during the day. He is a sleeper :) He has tried rice cereal and green beans and LOVES them. We will be trying carrots Sunday. Today he started clapping...he does something new everyday....just growing up!

We recently started bathing Landry in the baby bathtub inside the big bathtub instead of on the counter. Camden has been very curious of this. Last night he just stood in the big bathtub while I bathed Landry, but tonight.......

He got in with Landry!

Big Boys

We took Landry to the doctor for his 6 month check. He weighs 21 lbs 1 oz. And is 28 inches long. He got 4 shots. He didn't even cry, until the flu shot, which hurts. And he cried for like 2 seconds!!!! Such a big boy. We started cereal last Sunday and he hasn't been too interested in it. However tonight he had a second helping. I made it a little thicker tonight and he LOVED it. I think he is also getting the hang of how to work that tongue. We also started formula tonight. My milk supply has been lacking the past couple of weeks and I think my body is trying to tell me its time. I have a lot of milk in the freezer, so we are mixing 2 oz of formula with 4 oz of breast milk and will gradually increase it. Tonight he went right to sleep.....we shall see how the weekend goes. He does pretty good with a bottle.

Camden also went to get his flu shot. He is old enough to get the nasal flu vaccine. He was such a big boy! And he weighs 29 lbs. He let the nurse just do it like no big deal! He has also been telling us every time he has a wet diaper. We are going through diapers like crazy! I think we are getting close to potty training. We spend a lot of time on the potty, like Elmo!!!!! He is growing so fast!

Kaitlyn received her report card. I am pleased to announce that she got A's and B's. She is so busy, I don't know how she keeps it all together. She is enjoying it. She has a play/musical coming up at the end of October and is having practice everyday including Saturdays. Plus she also finds time to play with her brothers. Camden loves to play with her outside. Their favorite game is throwing the whiffle balls on the roof and catching them as they roll off. Camden and Landry are lucky to have her!!!! As are Aaron and I!
